Bursting with colour and home to the most spectacular marine life you will ever encounter, diving the SS Yongala is simply breathtaking and ranked as one best dive experiences in the world. The SS Yongala is a 110 metres long and 28 metres deep shipwreck that sank off the coast of Ayr during a tropical cyclone in 1911.

Scottish Prince Dive Site

The Scottish Prince, 800 metres off the Gold Coast's Southport Spit, features the wreck of a three steel-masted, 64 metre iron barque ship. The Scottish Prince sank as it was sailing from Glasgow, Scotland to Brisbane with a cargo of whiskey, mousetraps, linen and other assorted cargo, with only the hull of the ship remaining.

Cementco Dive Site

Moreton Island, Brisbane Area

The Cementco was a 67 metre long hopper barge that worked in Brisbane's Moreton Bay for many years transporting fossilised coral to be used in cement production. In 1985 the retired ship was to be scuttled off Moreton Island as an artificial reef when it prematurely sank in rough weather, landing on the sea floor upside down in 25 metres of water.

Pixie Pinnacle Dive Site

Situated on the Ribbon Reefs off the coast of Cooktown, hop on a liveaboard dive boat in Cairns to discover Pixie Pinnacle. At 30 metres tall and about 15 metres across, Pixie Pinnacle is a pyramid of coral and marine life, with its peak sitting two metres under the water's surface.
