The Charters Towers Visitor Information Centre is located at the intersection of Gill and Mosman Streets right next to City Hall. Built in 1880 at a cost of 2350 Pounds, the information centre started its life as the Union Bank and is just one example of the many stunning heritage buildings which line the streets of Charters Towers.

Cardwell Visitor and Heritage Centre

Cardwell Visitor and Heritage Centre is located on the Bruce Highway at the address is 53 Victoria Street, Cardwell. Heading North into Cardwell turn left into Balliol Street for plenty of parking. This is a historic precinct set in the old 'Cardwell Telegraph and Post Office' (now known as the Bush Telegraph) which was built in 1870 and is one of the oldest buildings in North Queensland.

Located on the Ground Floor of the Common User Terminal at the Domestic Airport, the Brisbane Airport Ambassadors are available at varying times through out the week to assist you. At the VIC you will find maps, brochures, a booking centre where you can book your own accommodation and car hire directly from the free phones and a team of experienced volunteers ready to answer your question.
