Gladstone: Southern Great Barrier Reef

Situated in the centre of the Southern Great Barrier Reef and home to a number of islands, the Gladstone region has beautiful coral cays literally on your doorstep.

  • Soak up the secluded beauty as you explore the small coral cay of Wilson Island.
  • Immerse yourself in underwater nature, swim with turtles and experience some of the best scuba diving and snorkelling at Heron Island. You may even be lucky enough to see turtle tracks left behind at several nesting spots for green and loggerhead turtles.
  • Snorkel the crystal clear and calm waters of the reef lagoon at Lady Musgrave Island, where you’ll discover giant rainbow coloured fish and maybe even come face to face with Manta Rays.
