A fast-paced spectacle of speed, agility and precision timing, Badminton is considered the fastest competitive racket sport in the world. Combining deft touch with raw power, players can bring down a smash at lightning speeds of over 400 kilometres per hour. A sport that wows crowds all over the globe – in particular in its birthplace of Asia – Badminton, to be held in Arena 2, is one of four sports to be held at the brand new Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre. It is on this battleground that men and women are brought together, with Badminton one of few competitions to feature a mixed team event on the program.
