Coolmunda Dam

Just 13 kilometres east of Inglewood, off the Cunningham Highway you'll find Coolmunda Dam. It's the perfect rest stop to break your journey and a great spot for birdwatching and water sports.

If you'd like to cool off it's a popular for water skiing, sailing and canoeing (there's a boat ramp for easy water access). It's also rated as one of the area's best 'sweet water' fishing spots, with Golden Perch, Murray Cod, Silver Perch and Spangled Perch stocked regularly. Fishing permits are available from nearby service stations.

Relax under the beautiful shady trees in the picnic area or use the barbecues (free wood is provided). Enjoy the water views - keep an eye out for graceful pelicans gliding across the surface of the dam.

Lake Coolmunda Caravan Park overlooks Coolmunda Dam and offers cabins and camping sites, including some sites along the waterfront. Coolmunda Olives nearby is also a good local attraction to visit.

Bowen Creek Fishing
