Located within a short one hour drive west of Brisbane and less than one and a half hours from the Gold Coast, you'll find Stockton Rise, a peaceful Country Retreat set amongst farmland in the picturesque Lockyer Valley. Close to the small town of Forest Hill but also close to larger centres Laidley and Gatton, you,ll discover the delights of this rich agricultural area by taking a farm drive; visiting local markets or farm gate stalls to buy the freshest and best of Queensland produce. Alternatively, sit in comfort on the large deck of the retreat and watch over the day's activities from afar. There is much to do and you may just want to stay longer to explore this very historical area.

Stockton Rise is a self-contained house comprising three bedrooms in a spectacular position overlooking farmland. The accommodation is perfect for a family or for friends/groups to spend time together or for couples wanting to spend time away in the countryside.

If you are feeling adventurous, bring a rod, your canoe or push bikes and explore the surrounding farmland including the large irrigation dam, or take a leisurely walk to enjoy spectacular sunrise or sunsets over the water.

Our Rooms

The main bedroom comprises a queen sized bed with ensuite. It has private access to the verandah and large deck area. From the large southern windows, enjoy the view as you waken in the morning. This room has a walk-in wardrobe with hanging space and shelves for your luggage. There is enough storage in this room to unpack your luggage and feel quite at home. Blankets are provided and a fan above the bed will keep you cool through the summer months.

The second bedroom also has a queen sized bed with access to the verandah. The second and third bedrooms share the main bathroom which has a bath, shower, vanity and separate toilet. The second bedroom also has blankets supplied for winter months and a fan above the bed to keep cool in summer. A built in wardrobe with hanging and plenty of storage is available.

Mount Fox

Located south-west of Ingham, Mount Fox was created by a violent volcanic explosion about 100000 years ago. In the explosion, a lava flow 10 metres thick spewed from the southern end of the crater and chunks of molten magma were thrown out of the volcano's vent.
