Lamington National Park Camping Ground

There is one camping area in the Green Mountains section of Lamington National Park, and a privately-managed campground adjacent to the Binna Burra section of the park. Both camping areas have facilities and are within short walking distances to all graded walking tracks.

The Green Mountains camping area is not suitable for caravans, camper trailers or large recreational vehicles (RVs larger than four metres) - there are no sites allocated for camper trailers or RVs. Access to Green Mountains along Lamington National Park Road is narrow and windy. Please do not attempt to drive this road if you are towing a caravan.

Some opportunities for remote, walk-in bush camping are available within the park. For more information, please read the additional information provided and check availability before booking your site.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. Camping permits must be booked online and in advance for all weekends, public and school holidays. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.

Located in the Lamington National Park, the Green Mountains camping area is close to walking tracks through the national park. The camping area is on the side of a grassy clopping hill, tent and campervan sites are cut into the slope. This camping area has good facilities and is accessible by conventional vehicle.
