Daintree Secrets is the only property in the Daintree area with it's own private swimming hole and waterfalls - right at the end of your veranda! Conveniently located close to all the local cafe's, restaurants and tourist attractions, but so secluded that you probably will not want to leave.

You will hear the waterfalls as soon as you arrive, and the view from the extra large veranda perched right over the creek, will take your breath away. This truly is paradise, and it is all yours. The house is fully furnished with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, open plan living, fully equipped kitchen and large veranda. Designed to make the most of the views.

All linen is provided along with tea, coffee and basic kitchen supplies. The house has a DVD and CD player, with a library of DVD's and CD's for your enjoyment. There is also a selection of books and games. However, there is no cable television or internet. All electricity is derived from a hydro-electric system. One of the many joys of this pristine paradise is knowing your carbon footprint is minimal.

Mungallala

Mungallala, said to mean 'food and water' is the site of a cypress sawmill, located about half way between Mitchell and Morven where the Warrego Highway crosses the Mungallala Creek. Mungallala originated as a railway town and is a wonderful place to stop for lunch and experience the workings of an outback town.

Amby

Amby, Maranoa Area
Amby, originally called Amby Creek, became a township in 1883 and forms part of the eastern boundary of the Outback region. It can best be described as where the grain and the grazing belts meet. The Old Stage Changeover Shanty - known to the locals as Netting Hole - dates back to 1875 and is located on the northern side of town, along the Warrego Highway near Amby Downs waterhole.
