All ages can, if they wish, enjoy the friendly interaction with fellow guests as they unwind from their travelling or the day's activities. Some may decide to use the fully equipped kitchen. There is a free washing machine and line space in the garden. In the backyard there is off street parking or there is a free pick up on arrival from bus, train or ferry. The Airport Bus will drop off or pick up at the door.

Orchid Guest House is only 600 metres from the Townsville City Mall for Sunday markets, shopping and nightclubs and pubs. A supermarket is just 400 metres. A 20 minute walk will bring you to Townsville's beautiful Strand; the Museum; the Aquarium; the Cultural Centre or Casino. Billabong Sanctuary and the Yongala Wreck and Reef trips pick up by arrangement.

The holiday flat is separate from main building and is great for families (no age limit for children). It sleeps five.
