Honeyeater Cottage - 1 Bedroom

Honeyeater Cottage is a fully self-contained, one bedroom cottage with air conditioning, fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, double corner spa, two and three seater lounges, coffee table, television, DVD and stereo. Firewood is supplied. Queen size bed with all linen provided. Car port and veranda with barbecue facilities and outdoor furniture including a bird feeder to attract a variety of birds. This cottage is their newest refurbished cottage, surrounded by the Australian bush and offering privacy and tranquillity. Guests enjoy the wildlife that visit the cottage, the wallabies grazing nearby and the bush walking tracks. Breakfast and barbecue hampers are available on request as well as Champagne and Chocolates or Wine and Cheese packages on arrival.

Bottlebrush Cottage - 2 Bedrooms

Bottlebrush Cottage is a two bedroom, fully self contained, air conditioned cottage. Main bedroom has queen size bed, bedside tables, lights and built-in wardrobe. Second bedroom has twin beds and also with bedside tables, lights and built-in wardrobe. All linen is provided. Fully equipped kitchen and fireplace. Lounge room has a two seater and a three seater lounge with ottomans and coffee table, television, stereo and video cassette recorder/DVD combo. Barbecue on veranda with outdoor furniture and bird feeder to attract wildlife. Bottlebrush Cottage is set in amongst trees and parklike surroundings bringing you closer to nature with bush walking tacks nearby. Breakfast and barbecue hampers are available on request. This state forest protects a remnant of an endangered type of forest, known as mabi forest. Here, in 1903, red cedar seedlings were planted in the forest to replace mature trees which had been logged. Commercial plantations of hoop, kauri and Caribbean pine now grow beside native forest.

Mt Hypipamee Crater and Dinner Falls

The Hypipamee crater is referred to as a volcanic pipe. The pipe was opened upward through surface rocks by gas produced from molten rock below and as a result of tremendous pressure, the vent exploded sending volcanic bombs far across the landscape.
