A peaceful 30 acre rainforest hideaway at the end of a beautiful valley, surrounded by Daintree National Park, eight kilometres beyond Daintree Village. Ideal for couples, honeymooners and birdwatchers.

Three modern, private self-contained Bed and Breakfast bungalows overlook rainforest, exotic tropical fruits trees, dam, tropical gardens and easy walking trails.

Two have Queen beds and convertible sofa for a third guest, one has a King/Twin plus sofa. Not suitable for children under 12.

Air-conditioned and insect-screened, they have ensuite bathroom, well-equipped kitchenette and private verandah overlooking water and rainforest.

A complimentary daily breakfast basket includes tropical fruits, home-made jam and yoghurt and local tea and coffee. Self-cook meals and drinks are also available.

Designed for couples or a maximum of three adults the bungalows are perfect for that romantic getaway or a quiet interlude during a busy holiday. It's a haven for birdwatchers and nature-lovers with over 130 species of seasonal birds, plus abundant tropical butterflies and other wildlife.

'The Shed' provides barbecue, jacuzzi, books, games, dartboard, small library and free wi-fi.

Far from the city hustle and bustle yet within a short drive of Daintree Village, Mossman Gorge, Cape Tribulation, Port Douglas and the Atherton Tablelands.

Our Rooms

King/Twin Bungalow B&B Bungalow

The layout and facilities are similar to the Queen bungalows with a King/Twin bed (please request choice of bed configuration when booking) and a convertible sofa for one extra adult.

The studio-style Bungalow is air-conditioned, fully-insect-screened, ensuite bathroom with shower, ceiling fan, kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, fridge and all cooking utensils. There is a timber dining setting, sofa and 'papa-san' chair, private verandah with outdoor furniture overlooking wetlands-dam and rainforest.

Sunbird Sanctuary is in a private location and is closest to The Shed with it's communal barbecue, jacuzzi, guests' library, board games and dart-board.

Queen Bed B&B Bungalow

Each of the two studio style Bungalows has been recently-renovated (2017), they are air-conditioned, fully-insect-screened, and have an ensuite bathroom with large shower, ceiling fan, kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, fridge and all cooking utensils.

Each bungalow has a Queen bed and convertible sofa for one extra adult - please note there are no facilities for children under 12.

There is a timber dining setting, sofa and 'papa-san' chair, a very private verandah with outdoor furniture, overlooking a wetlands-dam and rainforest. Wonderful bird-watching for your own verandah as there are over 140 species of annual and permanent visitors.

'Cassowary Castle' and 'Birdwing Bungalow' are quite near each other, yet still very private and are especially popular with guests who are travelling together.

75 Mile Beach

It is not hard to guess how this location got its name. A bloke measured the beach one day and found out that it was 75 miles long. Apart from its length, there are many more impressive things about this rugged stretch of sand on the east coast of Fraser Island.
