The 2018 Gold Coast Film Festival will run 17 to 29 April, immediately after the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and will screen around 40 feature films, 125 shorts, host over 12 industry panels and over 10 filmmaker Q and As and bring film to life through a dozen special film events that run across the Gold Coast.

Walk the red carpet on opening night alongside actors, filmmakers and film crew. Learn from Australia's leading producers, writers and directors in intimate seminars and workshops.

The Gold Coast Film Festival is a celebration of film and film-making from one of Australia's top film-making locations - the Gold Coast. Be captivated by internationally acclaimed dramas, comedies and genre films, locally made indie gems, engaging documentaries, family features, anime and the scariest horror films.

Special events include Women in Film screenings and events and SIPFest, the annual short film competition transforming Surfers Paradise beach into a vibrant and unique cinema featuring 12 cinematic masterpieces by emerging filmmakers from around Australia. YScreen - a selection of entertaining and intelligent films and workshops for children and teens is open to schools and families.
