Straddie Camping offers easy access island camping on 'Minjerribah', North Stradbroke Island, just off the coast of Brisbane.

Two fully equipped EcoShack offer a 'glamping' experience at the Amity Point Camping Ground. The EcoShacks feature large windows, fan cooling, and off-the-ground positioning to take advantage of the island breezes. The Quandamooka People's cultural considerations to land, seasons and wildlife, were integrated in the design concept and application. Environmental best practice technology is utilised for the treatment of water and sewerage to ensure a minimal environmental footprint, and landscaping use native species endemic to North Stradbroke Island.

The main door features an inlaid design by local Quandamooka Artist Belinda Close. They face directly onto the beachfront, taking advantage of the magnificent sunsets over Moreton Bay.

Amity Point Campground (Pulan Pulan ) has a family friendly interpretive walk, with signposted points of interest providing information on the area's rich Aboriginal history, as well as featuring ancient Aboriginal stories. The interpretive walk lets guests immerse themselves in the living cultural landscape of Minjerribah, and learn about the Quandamooka people's connection to the land - dating back tens of thousands of years.

The EcoShacks feature large windows, fan cooling, and off-the-ground positioning to take advantage of the island breezes. Windows and doors are fitted with heavy-duty roll-down canvas zippered screens, and the main door features an inlaid design by local Quandamooka Artist Belinda Close.

The EcoShacks face directly onto the beachfront, with views of the magnificent sunsets over Moreton Bay.

Just off the western side of Lady Elliot Island is a group of small coral outcrops known as Lighthouse Bommies. Descend down the mooring line and drift onto the bommies to discover a vast array of marine life - batfish, stingrays, white-spotted shovelnose rays, green and loggerhead turtles, sea snakes, moray eels, coral trout, reef sharks, trevally, barracuda, and manta rays waiting to be groomed by cleaner wrasse.

Second Reef Dive Site

Located off the western side of Lady Elliot Island, Second Reef is a long ridge of coral that varies in depth from 2 to 12 metres. Lovely hard corals feature on this reef, but with many ledges and caves to explore it is always a fascinating dive.

The Blowhole

Lady Elliot Island has many wonderful dive sites, but the most dramatic dive site off this coral cay would have to be The Blowhole. Located off the eastern side of the island, this spectacular L-shaped cave opens on the reef top and exits on the reef wall.

Three Pyramids

The Three Pyramids is a collection of three coral bommies on the sheltered western side of Lady Elliot Island. Rising from the sand in depths from 20m, these coral heads attract a great variety of marine life, with each one home to a good population of reef fish and invertebrates.
