A white cottage-like pavilion, nestled in a rocky park, provides visitors with a chance to take in the panorama of Stanthorpe and remember the legacy left by men from this area in WWI. Soldier hero Major General Sir William Glasgow officially opened this soldiers' memorial on 6 February 1926.

Mount Norman Track

Begin the walk to Mount Norman, Girraween's National Park's longest walk, from the southern side of Pyramids Road opposite the Girraween information centre carpark. Continue past Castle Rock and trek to the rocky slabs below Mount Norman, where the gradient varies from gentle to moderate.

The Western circuit at Sundown National Park veers off from the Permanent track near The Broadwater camping area and heads away from the river to open high ground. Woodland birds such as spiny-cheeked, yellow-faced and fuscous honeyeaters and golden whistlers favour this area near the western boundary of the park.
