They are situated at Karumba Point next to the famous Sunset Tavern overlooking the Gulf of Carpentaria, on the mouth of the Norman River where the outback meets the sea in style. Relax and enjoy the spectacular sunsets over the Gulf of Carpentaria, indulge in platters of local prawns, crabs and a glass of wine.

Spacious self contained, air-conditioned apartments designed for long term stays include resort style timber furniture. One and two bedroom apartments are ideal for family getaway. Inground fresh water pool and barbecue areas are provided for the outdoor holiday experience. Guided barramundi fishing packages are available. They have undercover parking, boat and bus parking area and fish filleting table.

If travelling by road, it is bitumen all the way; a smooth and relaxing drive for all.

Two bedroom apartment consists of a queen bed in one bedroom and two single beds in second bedroom. Fully self-contained, air-conditioned with separate kitchen, lounge and bathroom.

1 Bedroom Apartment

Fully self-contained one bedroom apartment with queen size bed. All units are air-conditioned and comfortably furnished in stylish timber resort style furniture.

Executive Suites feature open plan, fully self-contained, air-conditioned units with a king size bed and one single bed. They feature beach front, spacious units opening onto a grassed outdoor area overlooking the mouth of the Norman River and the Gulf of Carpentaria; only a few steps down onto the beach.

Beach front two bedroom apartment overlooks the Gulf of Carpentaria. Fully self-contained, air-conditioned furnished with resort style timber furniture. Bedroom one consists of queens size bed with second bedroom consisting of two single beds.

The fully self-contained studio units are air-conditioned and furnished with your comfort in mind. Queen or twin singles with ample room for long term stay. Undercover car parking directly in front of apartment.

Windorah Rodeo is an outback country rodeo, held in the channel country of Queensland, and is held after the finals of their annual Campdraft each year. This is a family, fun filled event, which features bull and bullock rides, as well as bareback and saddle bronc, ladies and junior barrel races.

Windorah International Yabby Races

The Windorah International Yabby Races began 1998, and is always on the Wednesday night prior to the iconic Birdsville Races, which is on the first weekend of each September. It is held in the street outside of the Western Star Hotel, and draws a crowd of punters, ready to whet their appetite with speedy blue claw crustaceans.
