Boreen Point Campground is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Cootharaba, which has been a popular location for recreational activities such as camping, fishing, kayaking and sailing for more than 70 years.

The lake has a long sandy foreshore for the length of the park. Explore the Noosa Trail Network, visit the remains of the historical Mill Point Settlement or follow the Heritage Walk at Tewantin.

Bring your camera an capture some awesome sunsets or sunrises, not to mention the resident wildlife. Boreen Point Campground is a quiet and popular location to use as your base when you return from the Coasts Popular Tourist Attractions.

Boreen Point Campground offers a peaceful environment within the Noosa Biosphere for families to enjoy a relaxing camping experience.

Unpowered Sites

Unpowered sites are located throughout Open Space areas within the Campground and you are welcome to choose your site on arrival. Some sites have concrete pads, however there is plenty of space for that real campsite feel. Sites are located within easy walking distance to the amenities and outdoor camp kitchen. You are even able to choose whether you want lakefront or a shaded area away from the lake Bookings are not site specific.

Powered Sites

The eight powered sites at this campground all have concrete slabs and are close to the amenity building.

Mapleton Forest Reserve

In Mapleton Forest Reserve, Mapleton Forest Drive winds through deep forest, past Cooloolabin Dam, to Point Glorious lookout where great coastal and hinterland views await. Picnic at the Mapleton day-use area near Cedar Creek’s headwaters or camp at Gheerulla Creek.
