Visit Carisbrooke Station and the Dinosaur Stampede in one day tour. The Dinosaur Stampede at Lark Quarry Conservation Park preserves 3,300 dinosaur footprints that were made 95 million years ago. You will be enthralled by the tour at this site. Then travel to Carisbrooke Station to marvel at the natural wonders and history of this spectacular location. See the Three Sisters, Python Gorge, fossick for opal and just sit back and enjoy the open expanse of the landscape.

Dinosaur Stampede 3/4 Day Tour

Journey through Winton’s mesa country to see a snapshot of an ancient environment and dinosaur footprints from 95 million years ago. Lark Quarry Conservation Park hosts the only known dinosaur stampede in the world with more than 3300 footprints preserved. You'll enjoy the guided tour of the stampede and after lunch travel onto grazing property to discover the hidden treasures of the vast landscape. Visit the Merton Gorge and be mesmerised by views as far as the eye can see.

Carisbrooke and Old Cork Full Day Tour

Travel to the Old Cork homestead ruins and the Diamantina River and enjoy the peaceful riverine surrounds. Then, venture down the old Cobb & Co track to Carisbrooke Station and discover the stations past and present including the keyline irrigation system. Enjoy the scenic drive along Cory’s Range visiting spectacular natural formations like the Three Sisters and Python Gorge. Try your hand at noodling for opal and visit the site where the Swoose made a forced landing in 1942. This tour is steeped in both human and natural history of the Winton region and showcases the beautiful scenery of the jump-up (mesa) country.

Pepina Falls

Pepina Falls are best viewed in the time just after the "Green Season". The "Green Season" sometimes known as the wet season runs from January to the end of April most years. Located in a little seen area off the Old Palmerston Highway (the scenic route between Millaa Millaa and Ravenshoe) on Maalan Road they certainly provide a photographic opportunity.

Babinda

The small blue timber building on the corner of Bruce Highway and Monro Street clearly indicates that this community is serious about tourism. This is the official tourist information centre and its location is designed to catch your attention when you enter town.

Millstream Falls

Millstream Falls is reputedly Australia's widest single-drop waterfall. The falls flow over the edge of a columnar basalt lava flow, a legacy of the Atherton Tableland's volcanic past. Millstream Falls National Park is on the western edge of the World Heritage Area.

Souita Falls are near to Millaa Millaa on Middlebrook Road off the Old Palmerston Highway which once was the road connecting Millaa Millaa and Ravenshoe - the highest town in Queensland, now a scenic route (not suitable for caravans) between the two towns.
