The guided snorkelling tour (optional extra) at the famous Tangalooma Wrecks is a highlight of the day cruise. Surrounding the 15 shipwrecks are a myriad of marine species including turtles, wobbegongs, coral and fish tame enough to eat from your hands.

Experience the thrill of boom netting off the back of the boat. This marine eco tour also includes whale watching opportunities (June to October), fish feeding and beach time on Moreton Island. Morning tea, smorgasbord lunch with chicken, ham, prawns and salads are included. Enjoy a day full of excitement and spectacular scenery.

The Redcliffe2Moreton Express day trip and passenger ferry service are the perfect way to visit Moreton Island without the crowds. The 45-minute trip from Redcliffe (north Brisbane) travels to Bulwer town where passengers are free to explore. There's loads of activities for the adventurous backpacker or youth, including four-wheel-driving, sand-taboganning and snorkelling, with camping and dormitory accommodation options.

Redcliffe2Moreton Express Day Trip

Getting to Moreton Island is now a whole lot easier on board the Redcliffe2Moreton Express passenger ferry service. This day trip to Moreton Island departs Redcliffe, north Brisbane, every Friday and Sunday, letting you spend a day on the world famous Moreton Island.

Cruise across the waters of Moreton Bay Marine Park on a scenic 45-minute ferry with free tea and coffee on board. Licensed cash bar is also available for you to kick back with a drink while spotting local wildlife including dolphins, turtles, dugongs and whales (June to November).

The Redcliffe2Moreton Express will make an eco-friendly beach landing on the north-western side of the island at the uncrowded charming township of Bulwer. Once you've arrived, you can do as much or as little as you please. Swim or snorkel the Bulwer Shipwrecks, pack a picnic lunch and relax on the beach, visit the local cafe, hire a kayak or SUP, go fishing or take a stroll along the pristine beach. Enjoy a minimum four hours on the island before departing at 4pm, returning to Redcliffe approximately 5pm.

Redcliffe2Moreton Express is the fastest ferry service to Moreton Island, leaving you more time for fun in the sun.

Redcliffe2Moreton Express Ferry Service

Travel to Moreton Island on board the Redcliffe2Moreton Express passenger ferry service direct from Redcliffe. The passenger ferry is a 45-minute scenic trip from Redcliffe, north Brisbane, to Bulwer on the north-western side of Moreton Island.

Ferry departs Redcliffe Jetty every Friday and Sunday at 10.00am (9.30am check-in).
Return ferry departs Bulwer, Moreton Island, every Friday and Sunday at 4pm (3.30pm check-in).

Stay for the day, a weekend or a whole week and discover all that Moreton Island has to offer.
