Amity Point

On the calm waters of Moreton Bay, Amity Point is located on North Stradbroke Island, the second largest sand island in the world. Located just off the coast of Brisbane, North Stradbroke Island can be accessed by regular passenger and vehicular ferries which depart from mainland Cleveland.

Amity has a quiet, laid-back fishing village atmosphere and is the perfect place to relax, unwind, wet a line or watch the sun set over the bay. Amity's most popular landmark is its jetty, a favoured spot to watch the sun disappear over the mainland and the dolphins play. The calm bay waters make the swimming enclosure to the side of the jetty a safe place for the kids to splash about or swim. The rock wall on either side of the jetty is teeming with marine life and a vast array of fish species makes snorkelling a truly memorable experience.

There are a range of accommodation options in Amity Point to suit all budgets. Waterfront cabins, cottages, bungalows and houses are all available for short term hire. There is also a large camping ground which boasts magnificent views over Moreton Bay.

Middle Reef Dive Site

Located halfway between two of North Stradbroke Island’s most popular dive sites, Shag Rock and Flat Rock, is large rocky ridge known as Middle Reef. There are a number of dive sites at Middle Reef, in depths from 12 metres to 33 metres, where divers can explore ledges, caves and rocky walls.

Boat Rock Dive Site

Boat Rock is an action packed dive site located off Brisbane’s North Stradbroke Island. While always a sensational dive, it is the least dive site in the area as it is generally washed by strong currents, is a tricky spot to anchor and is a site best suited to experienced divers.

Flat Rock Dive Site

Just a couple of kilometres north of Brisbane's North Stradbroke Island, Flat Rock is well-known by locals as the most exciting dive site in the area. The natural rocky island is surrounded by vibrant coral gardens that are home to turtles, wobbegongs, leopard sharks, eagle rays, reef fish, pelagic fish and even the odd manta ray.

Lamb Island

Get away from it all and rest in the peaceful and tranquil waters of Moreton Bay. Lamb Island was known by the Aboriginal people of Moreton Bay as Nguderoo, or paperbark trees. It is the second smallest of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, is easily navigable, has a general store, recreation club and a swimming enclosure for cooling off in the bay waters.

Naree Budjong Djara National Park

Karragarra Island

Karragarra is a great day-trip destination and is the smallest of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, about half a kilometre wide and four kilometres long. The experience starts with a short water taxi ride from Redland Bay.
