Southern Queensland Country is the most delicious state here in Queensland with endless food trails on offer. Ever wanted a real paddock to plate experience? Hand-pick your own cherries, apples, or strawberries right off the side of the road as you drive through the Granite Belt. And keep a look out for wild asparagus, fennel and saffron growing throughout the region and be sure to swing by the famous Peanut Van in Kingaroy!

Wineries

Drive through the vineyards and cellar doors of the Granite Belt where grapes have been grown since 1870 and varieties range from top-shelf Shiraz and Chardonnay to Viognier, Mourvedre and Tempranillo. Indulge in South Burnett, home to the largest vineyard in Queensland called Murgon, which offers six vineyards and cellar doors within a 15-kilometre radius of the town.
