Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers

The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is a celebration of everything this region has to offer. You’ll find it’s not only the blooms that come out to play at this 10-day festival to welcome spring, but locals and visitors from far and wide who are ready to shake off the shackles of winter with some good food, good wine, and good music.

Scots in the Bush

Scots in the Bush is a Scottish and Celtic Festival held annually at Boondooma Homestead. The event is held to celebrate the settlement of Boondooma Station by three Scotsmen back in 1846. Robert and Alexander Lawson and Robert Alexander arrived in the South Burnett with 100,000 sheet and took up leases covering 958 square miles.

Dalby's Delicious and DeLIGHTful Festival

Dalby's Delicious and DeLIGHTful Festival is Dalby's signature festival. It is a two day multicultural event - the Saturday featuring creative markets, cultural foods and entertainment ending with a spectacular lantern parade and fireworks display along the banks of the beautiful Myall Creek.

Historic Leyburn Sprints

Food and Wine Festivals

All things food and wine is something Southern Queensland Country know and do extremely well. So naturally, they celebrate this through a variety of food and wine events throughout the year. As a taste, why not get well acquainted with the Granite Belt region’s produce and booming wine industry at the Apple & Grape Harvest Festival! Or for a true homegrown Aussie experience, the Australian Camp Oven Festival is a must. From damper throwing to billy boiling, this is a weekend of great family fun.
