Probing the Eternal Sunshine: Memories and Fears | World Science Festival Brisbane

South Brisbane, Brisbane Area

24 March 2018 -

Indicative Rate * AU$10 to AU$30

Tap into the deep recesses of the mind.

Throughout our lives we accumulate a treasure chest of memories along with a Pandora’s Box of fears, although exactly how these gems are formed and processed, and why, remains somewhat of a mystery. For something considered an early adaptation for mammalian survival, why are memories and fear so entangled with human consciousness and mental health?

Join their fearless panel to delve into human minds and the wealth of new research that could one day help clinicians to modify memories and fears for patients with PTSD or Schizophrenia, or restore them in patients with Alzheimer’s or brain injuries.

Probing the Eternal Sunshine: Memories and Fears is presented in conjunction with The University of Queensland.
