Run for the good times at Australia’s leading marathon, the 2017 Gold Coast Airport Marathon to be held in one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world in Queensland, Australia.

Join 27,000 participants of all ages and abilities from Queensland, interstate and overseas in eight races including the Gold Coast Airport Marathon, Wheelchair Marathon, ASICS Half Marathon, Wheelchair 15 kilometre, Southern Cross University 10 kilometre Run, The Star Gold Coast 5.7 kilometre Challenge and Zespri Junior Dash (4 kilometre and 2 kilometre).

Enjoy the wonderful Gold Coast conditions on the internationally recognised fast, flat and scenic course and take in the beautiful broadwater and sparkling surf beaches. The weather is traditionally great for running with low humidity, little or no wind in the morning and mild temperatures - ideal if you’re striving for a personal best time.

Visitors and locals can enjoy the free ASICS Sport and Leisure Expo at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and will even have the chance to meet marathon legends including Rob de Castella, Steve Moneghetti, Pat Carroll, Benita Willis and Lee Troop.

Keppel Bay Islands National Park protects 13 islands in the Keppel Group and is surrounded by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The islands are the traditional home of the Kanomi-Woppaburra people. Emu Park

Emu Park is situated along the Capricorn Coast, 45 kilometres east of Rockhampton. Emu Park is host to the Singing Ship, a monument overlooking the coast line. You can take a scenic drive of Yeppoon before arriving in Emu Park or drive straight from Rockhampton which passes the Koorana Crocodile Farm.
