Der Flughafen Cairns Airport befindet sich 7 km von der Innenstadt von Cairns entfernt. Nach Ihrer Ankunft bieten sich folgende Transportmöglichkeiten, um in den Urlaub zu starten:

  • Offiziell zugelassene Bus-Shuttle bringen Sie vom Flughafen zu Ihrem Hotel, in die Innenstadt oder zu den nördlich gelegenen Stränden wie Palm Cove, Port Douglas, Cape Tribulation oder in Richtung Süden nach Mission Beach.

Unterwegs mit dem Auto

Der tropische Norden von Queensland hat eine Vielzahl von sehenswerten Ortschaften zu bieten, darunter Cape Tribulation, Port Douglas und Mission Beach. Wenn Sie vorhaben, auf eigene Faust so viel wie möglich zu sehen, dann sollten Sie am besten einen Mietwagen nehmen.

 

Wenn Sie abgelegenere Ortschaften besichtigen möchten und z.B. einen Trip nach Cape York ins Auge fassen, dann sollten Sie unbedingt darauf achten, einen Wagen mit Allrad-Antrieb oder ähnliches zu nehmen.
