Wine lovers join them at O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards for a weekend of all-things-vino!
Meet Wine and Spirit Education Trust educator and winemaker Mr Peter Orr who will be undertaking a WSET Level 1 wine qualification, recognised in over 55 countries. Here, learn the main styles of wine in the world, principal grapes, storing and serving techniques, grading, tasting plus much more.
Overnight nearby and join the annual Wine Appreciation Lunch proceeding on Sunday 10th June (from 11:30am to 2:30pm) with resident vineyard Viticulturist Kevin Murtagh and Mr Peter Orr. Topics covered will include the human senses (sight, smell and taste), how to taste like a professional, wine show judging, varietal characters and food and wine paring. All washed down with a five-course lunch including Cajun prawns, confit chicken breast and eye fillet to wet your appetite.
Bookings for the Wine Appreciation Lunch on Sunday June 10 can be made online or via Canungra Valley Vineyards. Bookings for the WSET Level 1 course on Saturday June 9th can be made directly with the Queensland College of Wine Tourism.
