Their caravan park accommodation at Discovery Parks – Argylla, just over one hour’s drive from Cloncurry, is a great place to relax after your day of adventures. Take the Underground Mining Experience for a guided tour 15 metres underground. Spend a day (or two) at Outback at Isa, including the fascinating Riversleigh Fossil Centre. Spectacular Lake Moondarra offers swimming, boating, sailing, canoeing and excellent barramundi fishing. Held every August, the Mount Isa Rodeo is the biggest event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere and an absolute must-see.

Good value accommodation for a family of four, with all the self-catering basics you need. Great park views from your verandah.

This accommodation is an open plan cabin with Double Bed and Single Bunks. Linen fully provided including doonas. Other facilities include air-conditioning (reverse cycle heating and cooling), gas/electric heating and ceiling fans, kitchenette with electric stove, microwave, bar fridge, kettle, toaster, cookware, cooking utensils and cutlery, bathroom with shower and toilet, dining area with LCD television, hair dryer, iron/ironing board and a balcony with outdoor setting.

A quiet, grassy and shaded setting for your van. Easy to access sites offering power, water tap and sullage facilities.

Large site suitable for various sized vans up 12.2 metres (40 feet) in length. There is additional/ boat parking available off-site and car parking on-site.

Australia Day Celebrations

Family friendly Australia Day Celebrations at King Reef Resort, right on the beach in Kurrimine Beach. There will be a Man versus Snag sausage eating contest that you can sign up for at the bar. There will also be lots of games and prizes for the kids, slippery slide down to the beach, beach cricket, raffles, pony rides and live music by Vinnie.

The Feast of the Three Saints is held at St Johns Parish School in Silkwood every year. Silkwood is a short 25 minute drive South from Innisfail The Feast is held annually on the first Sunday in May, to celebrate and Commemorate the lives of three brothers, Saints Alfio, Filadelfo and Cirino, who were martryed for their Christian beliefs.
