Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves

Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves are located at Cedar Creek Estate. Come underground on a journey through the spectacular purpose-built Glow Worm cave!

The cave consist of two large chambers interlinked by tunnels. The first chamber is the "presentation cave", where you will be shown an audiovisual display on glow-worms. This chamber is complete with very realistic formations (speleothems), such as stalagmites and stalactites, water features and flow stone. From this stunning cave, you will be guided through the magical "glow-worm alley", filled with thousands of glowing glow-worms guaranteed! The experience is one you have to see to believe!

Glow Worm Tours operate every half hour between 10am until 4pm daily and bookings are recommended for large group tours. The only days we are closed are Good Friday and Christmas Day.

On entering the rainforest in Tamborine National Park, take the right-hand fork and head down to Curtis Falls. A viewing platform in the forest is a good place to stop and listen to the birds or rest on your way back.

Not to be confused with Tamborine Mountain upon which it is perched, North Tamborine is a suburb in its own right and plays to its own tune. It's easy to see why the rolling green hills, just 30 minutes from the Gold Coast, attracted early settlers who grew maize and grazed dairy cattle here.
