Sunrover Expeditions offers one, two and three day tours of Fraser Island and Moreton Island from Brisbane daily with a choice of camping, staying at Tangalooma Resort, Eurong Beach Resort or Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Tours depart from the Gold Coast Transit Centre, Brisbane Roma Street Transit Centre, Noosa Info Centre and Rainbow Beach. Sunrover Tours keeps their groups small and takes pride in offering personalised services. All tours offer the choice of staying in tents on camp sites or to upgrade to beach lodges or hotel accommodation, for example the Eco Award winning Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island.

3 Day - Fraser Island Guided Tour Kingfisher Bay Eco Resort

Meet the Humpback Whales of Hervey Bay and explore the World Heritage wilderness Fraser Island with an experienced guide. Walk through towering rainforests growing in sand, discover huge sandblows moving across the island, swim in beautiful fresh water lakes, wade in fast flowing creeks, drive along the world's most beautiful beach highway and marvel at coloured sand formations.

2 Days - Fraser Island World Heritage Adventure

Pass the Glasshouse Mountains to Noosa River Ferry and Cooloola Coast Beach. At Rainbow Beach enjoy the coloured sands and surf. Take the ferry to Fraser Island and enjoy a surf beach, Lake Wabby, and a famous sand dune where you can swim, hike and turtle watch.

On the second day, visit Lake McKenzie where you can swim and snorkel in this unique lake. Visit Central Station magical rainforest. See a giant King Fern, world heritage satinay forest and the crystal clear waters of Wanggoolba Creek. Or four wheel drive to Eli Creek, Cathedral Beach and Indian Head.

1 Day Moreton Island Four Wheel Drive Tour

Arrive at Moreton Island's west coast and Sandy Beach. Four Wheel Drive past beautiful Wallum wildflowers and birdlife to remote surf beach. Take a short coastal forest walk to the sand filtered fresh waters of Blue Lagoon.

Enjoy a fresh picnic lunch. Drive past aboriginal midden site at Spitfire Creek and ancient fish trap and on to wild Cape Moreton Lighthouse and breathtaking views to Flinder's Reef.

Four Wheel Drive the isolated east coast beach and cross the highest sand ranges in the world to the famous Tangalooma shipwrecks. Climb the desert sandhills for sandboarding adventure at speed.

2 Day Tangalooma Dolphin Resort

Day One; four wheel drive past aboriginal midden site at Spitfire Creek. Swim or snorkel in freshwater lake, Blue Lagoon and four wheel drive along wilderness surf beach and to the desert sandhills for a sandboarding adventure.

Enjoy island hotel accommodation at Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort - a magical setting on Moreton Bay.

2 Day - Moreton Island

Depart Brisbane on this fully guided off-road adventure, and eco-experience on Moreton Island. Sea Ferry Cruise from Scarborough International Harbour via Moreton Bay Marine Park. Spot dolphins, fish and sometimes whales, dugong and turtles. Arrive Moreton Island's west coast and Sandy Beach - the world's second largest sand island. Day Two - Start with a tropical breakfast overlooking beach and travel the beach to the big sandhills for sandboarding action. Only suitable in dry conditions, traversing the park via the Razorback Track and Loop Road will take you across rivers and deep ravines to fantastic heights where the sites and hikes are in the midst of wild country.

Mount Scoria Conservation Park

Mount Scoria rises up from the surrounding plain, a single and spectacular highlight against an otherwise flat landscape. Across its peak, multi-sided rocks are regimented into large vertical and semi-vertical pillars or columns, blunt at the top as if they’d been cropped.

Lake Callide

Lake Callide is located 12 kilometres from Biloela via sealed road and approximately 90 kilometres south-west of Gladstone via the Dawson Highway. While compact, the lake provides visitors with rewarding fishing - especially for golden perch (yellowbelly) and has in recent times been well stocked with barramundi.

150th Meridian

Moura, Banana Area

Located one kilometre east of Moura on the Dawson Highway, the 150th Meridian marker shows the position of the imaginary line (150 °E) on which Queensland (Eastern Standard) time is based. At the time of the equinox, a day is exactly 12 hours long anywhere on the Meridian line.

Goovigen

Goovigen, Banana Area
Goovigen is a small rural village in the region’s northern farming heartland. A short distance north-west of Jambin off the Burnett Highway, fewer than 300 people live in the town. The streets of Goovigen are as neat as a pin and the heritage buildings have been either restored to their former glory or updated for present needs.

Baralaba

Old fashioned values and friendly townsfolk are the hallmarks of Baralaba. Those traits and a stubborn streak for sticking around. More than a century of economic upheaval has threatened the town on many an occasion, but Baralaba locals are a stoic lot.

Mount Morgan

Mount Morgan, Rockhampton Area
Mount Morgan is an historical mining town nestled on the Dee River a short 38 kilometre drive from Rockhampton. The town is rich in nineteenth century Queensland colonial history and has artefacts and relics from the gold rush days that visitors can experience.

Duaringa

Duaringa, Central Highlands Area
Duaringa is located 107 kilometres west of Rockhampton along the Capricorn Highway. The small town is the essence of a small rural community. Duaringa is the oldest township in Duaringa Shire with buildings dating back to the 1860s and a corner of the local hotel has been preserved to show how early pioneers lived.

Thangool

Thangool, Banana Area
More than 130 years in the making, Thangool first opened to settlers, who tried it as a sheep run in the 1850s. Soon to fail, beef cattle were introduced and later, dairy and cotton took hold. Based on the success of these industries, a make-shift town sprang up.

Wowan

Wowan, Banana Area
Wowan is small rural township steeped in history and located approximately 70 kilometres north-west of Biloela in the Banana Shire. Nestled amongst ancient gums and a myriad of creeks and gullies, the town was settled back in 1912;
