Kanu Kapers Australia is an adventure based company offering Guided and Self Guided Kayaking Tours to the Noosa Everglades. They also host Team Development programs and healing Retreats within the Noosa Everglades and take Extended Trips and Adventures for individuals and groups throughout Australia.

Based in the lakeside community of Boreen Point on Lake Cootharaba, only 15 minutes drive from the golden, sun drenched beaches of Noosa, on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.

Available: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Groups of three or more other days may be arranged.

Duration: 8.30am to 3pm.

Description: Paddle across Lake Cootharaba to Kinaba Information Centre. From here, you are free to explore where you want within the Noosa Everglades. Enjoy the company of the mighty Noosa River and weave in and out of the small islands which dot the northern reaches of Fig Tree Lake. Test your paddling stamina and head up to the iconic Harry's Hut for a swim in the tea coloured waters. Camp in your choice of many camping grounds beside the River and experience a night in the wilderness of the Cooloola Recreation Area. Spend day two exploring further up the river, returning to the launch site at Elanda Point for a 3pm pick up.

Kanu Kapers Australia offers a combination of adventure, health and healing retreats for relationship, family, friends or women only groups.

You'll spend time in the pristine Noosa Everglades wilderness kayaking, swimming and walking. But you don't need to be super fit - or even know how to paddle. Anyone, any age, with average fitness will be fine.

You'll also take a wonderful inner journey through exercises of self discovery and individual sessions with Vivienne and Kym, your experienced and caring mentors. You'll experience the healing gift of silence - a rare commodity in today's busy world - allowing you to reflect in peace.

You'll have time to marvel at the plant, animal and bird life in this most beautiful part of the world. And you'll have a lot of fun sharing the experience with wonderful people on similar journeys of their own.

This park protects a small area of an endangered type of forest, called mabi forest, the local Aborignal (Ngadjon) word for the Lumholtz's tree-kangaroo. The large fig tree found in this park is unique because the extensive aerial roots, that drop 15 metres to the forest floor, have formed a 'curtain'.
