Calypso Reef Cruises offers family cruises, reef tours and dive trips to the Great Barrier Reef for snorkelling and scuba diving.

Agincourt Reef - Explore the very outer Great Barrier Reef in luxury and style with Calypso. Made up of four separate reefs that face out to the South Pacific Ocean, Agincourt Reef is regarded as one of the most significant sites of this natural wonder. Explore rich, diverse coral gardens that help form these protective ocean walls, filled with hard and soft corals as well as the reef's most iconic species such as sharks, stingrays, turtles, *whales, groupers and cods, Maori wrasse and parrotfish.

Opal Reef - is considered one of the most amazing places to snorkel and dive on the Great Barrier Reef. Explore three great sites on your day tour and see up close the hard corals that give rise to the reef as well as bright, colourful soft corals and anemones and fish that call these home.

A delicious buffet lunch, informative marine talk as well as guided snorkelling and dive tours will complete your Calypso experience.

Snorkelling Only - Opal and Tongue Reef

Snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef is one of the most incredible experiences a person can enjoy. With much of the reef's colour and marine life visible within a couple of metres of the water's surface, snorkelling offers all swimmers, regardless of their skill level, the opportunity to see this diverse eco-system up close.

Float effortlessly over rich, colourful coral gardens teeming with life from the cute and playful clownfish to the graceful beauty of the green turtle. Giant clams, stingrays, maori wrasse, cods and colourful parrotfish, are just some of the hundreds of species you will encounter during your visit to Opal Reef with Calypso.

Proudly locally owned and operated, Calypso Reef Cruises has dedicated snorkel vessels to visit the outer Great Barrier Reef and with three fantastic sites to explore, you will be busy for hours.

All custom designed, Calypso vessels offer the very best in comfort with spacious decks, day-bed style seating, air-conditioned saloons and submerged platforms, extending the width of the vessel, to allow for easy access to and from the water.

Introductory diving and certified diving is available at each of our three sites.

With sheltered, calm conditions, snorkelling Agincourt Reef is not only one of the most unforgettable experiences, it's also one of the most relaxing even for the most inexperienced swimmer. Specialised snorkel tours are included at each site for those eager to see and learn more.

Whales are typically present between July and September. Please note sightings of whales or other marine species are not guaranteed.
