Would you like to know more about Australia's Aboriginal past? Do you enjoy bushwalking, bird watching, nature photography or stargazing? Or perhaps you want somewhere to read, write or simply relax in peaceful rural surroundings?
If you answered "Yes!" to any of these questions then Ballancar Cultural Heritage has something for you.
Ballancar is a 2,300 hectare sheep and cattle property located near Inglewood in Southern Queensland. Significant evidence of past Aboriginal occupation can still be found on Ballancar in relatively undisturbed conditions. Ballancar Cultural Heritage offers guided bushwalks to introduce visitors to this archaeology and the cultural environment. The tours provide an introduction to stone tools and other aspects of Aboriginal life and landscape management.
In addition to its aboriginal archaeology, Ballancar has an abundance of native birds and animals, and all the peace and quiet a visitor could wish for.
