Derwent Hunter, Tall Ship Adventures Whitsunday

Multiple Locations

Set sail on the adventure of a life time in the Whitsundays. Experience the style, grace and pace of sailing on the classic timber tallship, Derwent Hunter.

Derwent Hunter visits some of the best snorkelling destinations in the Whitsundays. The less well-known spots of Langford Island and Bali Hai are a delight to discover, where the snorkelling straight off the beaches is fantastic.

After a delicious morning tea, pick up a private mooring at pristine Langford Island reef and enjoy snorkelling on fringing corals. Explore the deserted island beach of the Whitsundays' only sand cay. Many snorkellers get the chance to swim with the large resident turtles who call this area home.

Visit a second beach/snorkelling location at Bali Hai before returning to the vessel for a hearty fresh smorgasbord lunch freshly prepared on board.

Learn about the unique history of the Hunter and help us respect and preserve the Great Barrier Reef. Get involved and help the crew hoist the sails to sail back to Airlie Beach across the Whitsunday Passage. You can enjoy a cold beer or glass of wine from their onboard bar, with a delectable cheese platter for afternoon tea.
