Summertime - Sail and Dive Adventures

Sea kayaking, sailing, exploring the World Heritage Listed Whitsunday Islands, visiting Whitehaven Beach and snorkelling or diving the Great Barrier Reef provide an action packed adventure! Summertime has been lovingly restored and immaculately maintained while retaining all of her old world charm, with classic oiled timbers which are combined with the modern convenience of a fully air-conditioned vessel.

Summertime is the only vessel in the region that allows all guests to experience guided kayaking safaris on our ‘sit on top’ kayaks, this lets us guide you on an ecofriendly exploration of hidden inlets and fringing reefs as a group which is a highlight of this cruise.

Being a full dive boat with an on board compressor, passengers have the opportunity to dive at our selected reef spots, learn from our on board dive instructor about the marine environment whilst being guided on a dive, our instructors allow people the opportunity who have never dived, to experience firsthand the beauty of this underwater paradise.

Meals from our renowned menu, plenty of shaded areas, spacious decks, share or private cabins and the on board hot tub/spa will make for a relaxing and enjoyable cruise.

Sail and Dive the Outer Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands on our 16.4m ketch and enjoy your first dive for free. Kiana is the only vessel in the region that caters for small numbers to the outer Great Barrier Reef.

With a name like Barracuda Bommie you would expect to see barracuda at this dive site, and fortunately it rarely disappoints. Located on the Agincourt Reefs, off Port Douglas, Barracuda Bommie is a giant pinnacle of coral that rises from the sandy sea floor at 26 metres.

Nursery Bommie Dive Site

One of the most impressive dive sites on the Agincourt Reefs, off Port Douglas, is a large pinnacle called Nursery Bommie. This column of coral rises from 2 metres to 25 metres and is decorated with sea whips, soft corals and gorgonians, but it is the fish life that will be most remembered.

Castle Rock Dive Site

Castle Rock is a tower of coral at the Agincourt Reefs, accessible from Port Douglas on a day trip. Rising from 25 metres to almost break the surface, Castle Rock is home to trevally, snappers, sweetlips, goatfish, fusiliers, surgeonfish and a very friendly Malabar groper called Colin.
