Old fashioned Italian hospitality never goes out of fashion, and doesn't veteran restaurateur Andrew Baturo know it. His latest venture, Popolo, is part of a major revival for Southbank and the restaurant will focus on thin crust pizza, house-made pasta and a huge range of main meals from wild boar to pheasant. For that extra special touch, keep your celebrity radar on high as joint owners Paul Piticco (Powderfinger and Splendour in the Grass manager) and Dennis Sheehan (concerts infrastructure) may also be wandering around.
