Coastal Track, Noosa National Park

Multiple Locations

Whether you're keen for a morning jog or wanting a nice stroll for the whole family, the Coastal Track in Noosa National Park is a 'must do' when you are in town. It's also a great way to reach some of the region's best surf spots! Keep an eye out for pods of dolphins swimming in the bay or whales during breeding season.

There are several secluded beaches in the national park such as Tea Tree Bay, Winch Cove and Granite Bay that are ideal swimming spots. There's also an unofficial nudist beach further around the point at Alexandria Bay. The best places to take in the spectacular scenery and have your photo snapped are at the Boiling Point and Hells Gates lookouts.

Full Itinerary

Following the shoreline from the main park entrance to northern Sunshine Beach, the Coastal track passes over several headlands and provides many spectacular coastal views. Take extra care near cliff edges and keep children under close supervision. Walk along the beach at Alexandria Bay and rejoin the formed walking track at the southern end of the beach. There is a very steep set of stairs leading down to Sunshine Beach.

You can walk the Coastal track from Noosa to Sunshine Beach and catch a bus back. Walk 1.2 kilometres further south along the beach to the bus stop outside the Sunshine Beach Surf Life Saving Club.

Please Note: The Coastal Track is managed by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. Please note that this map only shows an indicative start point for the walk. Please see the Queensland National Parks, Recreation, Sport and Racing web site for detailed maps and the latest park information, including opening hours and safety messages.
