Brown Lake Conservation Park

North Stradbroke Island, Redland City Area

Stage one of this multi-purpose path to Brown Lake, North Stradbroke Island, was funded by SRQ in 2003. Brown Lake (or Lake Bummiera) is a perched freshwater lake bounded by melaleuca and tea-tree bushland. It is a popular swimming place and has special significance to the local Aboriginal people. There are barbecue and picnic facilities and easy road access.
