Araucaria track, D'Aguilar National Park

The Gap, Brisbane Area

Set within a huge, diverse park of scribbly gums and lush rainforest, the Araucaria walking track winds past giant hoop pines along the serene shores of the Enoggera Reservoir. Soon after setting off, you'll be faced with spectacular vistas of the reservoir before winding your way along its edge. Keep your eyes peeled for a variety of water birds in their natural habitat or better still, pack a pair of binoculars to get a close-up view.

This walking track in D'Aguilar National Park begins at the park visitor centre, starting off downhill. It continues around the shores of the Enoggera Reservoir, past giant hoop pines before looping back around one of the reservoir's peninsulas. The track can be combined with the Corymbia Circuit to add further distance to you walk.

The Araucaria track in D'Aguilar National Park is managed by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. Please see the Queensland National Parks, Recreation, Sport and Recreation web site for the latest park information including opening hours and safety messages.
