Six Mile Creek, Bluff Lookout and Little White Rock Trails

White Rock, Cairns Area

See koalas in the wild on these easy to moderate walking trails through White Rock-Spring Mountain Conservation Estate. The Six Mile Creek, Bluff Lookout and Little White Rock Trails can be done together or in sections. Along these trails you will see large swamp box and blue gums, and if you are lucky you might spot a shy lace monitor. Keep an eye out for scratches and droppings at the base of large gums which indicate that a koala may be resting in the branches.

Cool down as you cross Six Mile Creek and inspect a number of revegetation areas under restoration. A moderate level track with rough surfaces and steep inclines takes you to the Bluff Lookout with tree-top views over Six Mile Creek and views back into the estate. Pass along the base of a rocky ridge to see caves and relics of a World War 2 training bunker. The spotted gum forest here supports a local koala population. A short detour from the main trail will take you to the Little White Rock Track for a view over the forest.
