  • Celebrate Mary Poppins’ author P.L. Travers in her hometown of Maryborough every year when the Mary Poppins Festival rolls (or should that be flies?) into town.
  • Hand feed wild dolphins in Tin Can Bay.
  • See the coloured sands of Rainbow Beach on the Great Cooloola Walk.
  • Visit Lady Elliot Island and the start of the Great Barrier Reef, only a 40 minute scenic flight from Hervey Bay.

Access to the beach is down a little walking track, and across a park, about 200 metres. They feed the lorikeets every afternoon, and the Park is across the road from a large area of parkland, where there are often kangaroos and always lots of birds. Units, Cabins and Van Sites each have their own private ensuite and are set in quiet surroundings with swimming pool, barbecue area and laundry. All Fraser Island tours, fishing trips and whale watching trips (July to November) can be organised with courtesy pick ups available. The park is pet friendly and there are many on and off leash beaches close by . There are two boat ramps adjacent to the Park, and the area is one of the best fishing spots in the Bay. They are one kilometre from the corner takeaway shop, and the main shopping centre is a seven minute trip in the car. All accommodation has air conditioning, fans, personal ensuites, and is self contained and self-catering.
