The twenty-third annual Captain Cook 1770 Festival commemorates the landing of Lieutenant James Cook on 24 May, 1770 at Bustard Bay.
The award winning festival will be held in its new location at the SES Grounds at 1770 and caters for the whole family with live entertainment, market stalls, art show, Indigenous dancing and exciting amusement rides, with a spectacular fireworks display on Saturday night.
The re-enactment of Cook's landing is a special highlight of the Festival and this year will be held on the Friday night prior to the Festival at the Air Sea Rescue Park (1770 Foreshore).
