Karragarra, once called Rabbit Island, is the smallest of the Southern Bay Islands. 'Karra', as it is affectionately known has no store or retail facilities - one of the island's secrets to remaining a quiet and peaceful place to be enjoyed by visitors looking for seclusion and tranquillity.
Just four kilometres long and half a kilometre wide, the island supports around 170 residents, who rely on buying their supplies on the mainland or Russell Island, so be prepared to bring along a picnic basket.
There are parks, sandy beaches, a swimming enclosure and barbecue facilities.
Wet a line, take a walk or just relax in the sun on Karragarra.
The experience starts with a short water taxi ride from Redland Bay.
