The region is home to nearly 90 per cent of Australia's sweet potato production, amongst production of many other seasonally available fruit and vegetables such as strawberries, avocado, corn, lettuce, ginger, potato, watermelon, pumpkin, zucchini, tomato, chilli, figs, blueberries, macadamias and much more which has earned the region the title "Bountiful Bundaberg - Nourishing the Nation".

Located in the beautifully restored colonial style clubhouse at Coral Cove Golf Club, Coral Cove Restaurant is relaxed and offers stunning views to the Pacific Ocean. The blackboard menu features freshly caught seafood and succulent steaks, complemented by a concise selection of wine and beer. A private function room seats up to 100 guests.
Originally known as Bundaberg Cold Stores, Grunske's by the River is known as the place to go for the freshest local seafood in the Bundaberg Region. Overlooking the Burnett River, Grunske's is perfect both for daytime casual meals or romantic sunset dates. Either pick up seafood to takeaway, or dine in the restaurant on the wide wooden deck.

The concise menu boasts locally sourced produce with a focus on fresh seafood to compliment the beachside setting, yet not forgetting locally sourced beef, or vegetarian diners. Whether for a casual coffee stop or a romantic evening dinner, Salt provides a tranquil atmosphere.

Mon Repos Conservation Park

The largest concentration of nesting marine turtles on the eastern Australian mainland occurs at Mon Repos, and from November to March, visitors can watch nesting and hatching turtles on the beach at night. This park is world famous for its marine turtle wildlife spectacle where loggerhead, flatback and green turtles come ashore to nest on an accessible mainland beach. The park is also home to Woongarra rainforest remnants, mangroves, a tidal lagoon and historic sites. In winter and spring, take quiet beach walks, watch birds or explore rock pools. From November to March, take a night tour for a close encounter with turtles on the beach. You may see turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs; or witness hatchlings emerging from their nests and heading for the sea. Turtle watching is very popular, so bookings are essential and fees apply. Visit the information centre to learn about Mon Repos, turtles and the nearby Great Sandy Marine Park.
Indulge Café prepares food with the promise that they know where it came from, and how it was made. Sourcing food that is nurtured, picked and prepared by local producers, the cafe serves breakfast and lunch with a menu comprising of all house made items, from macadamia maple butter to relish, jams and a sumptuous array of baked goods and desserts. Sip a cup of single origin Jasper coffee, or chow down on a rustic ‘Umami burger'. Or, book a personal dinner party.
Located at 167a Bourbong St, Bundaberg, Sabrosa Steakhouse offers casual, family friendly dining. The well-priced menu spans from seafood to pasta and delicious desserts, but steak is the main focus. Choose your favourite cut, or take the Sabrosa challenge and try to finish 1kg of rump steak, 500g of veggies and 500g of potato wedges in under 30mins and receive your meal half price.

Located on the waterfront at the gorgeous Burnett Heads, this beautiful park offers plenty of space to run and play. For the kids there is a large climbing frame and a smaller playground. For the adults, sit back and enjoy the view of the pristine blue water whilst watching the kids play in the great outdoors. There is also a skate park in the vicinity. This is also the start of the Turtle Trail walk which will take you all the way to Bargara - perfect for a walk or bike ride.
