Roma Street Parkland

Brisbane City, Brisbane Area

This oasis in the heart of Brisbane is a must see destination. With spectacular subtropical plant displays, sweeping vistas and unique artwork, Roma Street Parkland is the perfect place to go exploring - and it's only a short walk from Brisbane's Queen Street Mall.

The Parkland is not only a garden-lover's paradise, but also a regular host to many special events and festivals throughout the year. It has emerged as a popular gathering place for the people of Brisbane and a true highlight for visitors to the city, attracting nearly half a million people every year.

Join one of the leisurely and informative guided walks offered twice daily. Experience the parkland's misty fern groves, rocky peninsulas, walk past the lakeside meadow and through gardens bursting with colour.

The parklands provide well-maintained picnic spots and gas barbecues so you can prepare your own food. Otherwise you can lunch in the licensed cafe overlooking the Water Wall.

There are playgrounds designed for children of all ages, with swings - including the Liberty Swing designed for those with a disability.

Roma Street Parkland is open seven days a week.
