Qantas Founders Museum is an independent not-for-profit community organisation and registered charity, operating since 1996, to commemorate the ethos and preserve the material heritage of the founders and early operations of Qantas Airways Ltd.

Today, they are a world-class museum and cultural display, eloquently telling the story of the founding of Qantas through interpretive displays, interactive exhibits, replica aircraft and an impressive collection of genuine artefacts.

The collection incorporates four of the world's most significant airliners - the Consolidated PBY Catalina Flying Boat, Douglas DC3, Boeing 707 and the legendary Boeing 747. In addition, they have full scale replicas of some of the most important aircraft in the early Qantas fleet - DeHaviland DH-61 Giant Moth, DeHaviland DH-50, and Avro 504k Dyak; Qantas' first ever aircraft.

Aircraft tours are also available at an additional cost including the Jet Tour of Boeing 747 and Boeing 707, a Wing Walk of the 747 (minimum age 12yrs) or
a once in a lifetime experience of the Platinum tour which includes a tour of the 747 & 707, 747 & 707 Wing Walk , complimentary 6x9 photo & $9.95 meal voucher.
Bookings are essential for all tours.

There is a F35 flight simulator available.

Iningai Nature Reserve is named after the Inangai, the traditional owners who lived along the Thomson River prior to European settlement. It is currently a reserve and the town common. You'll find bushwalking tracks leading from just south of town where car parking is available.

Bladensburg National Park

Bladensburg National Park is a large park protecting Mitchell grass downs and channel country. It is home to a wonderful variety of wildlife, including tiny mammals called dunnarts. Flat-topped mesas and sandstone ranges form a pleasing backdrop to the park's grassland plains and river flats.

Moorrinya National Park

This remote park has dry, flat plains criss-crossed by watercourses and covered in open eucalypt, paperbark and acacia woodlands and grasslands. Moorrinya is a wildlife refuge, protecting Australian icons such as kangaroos, koalas, emus and dingoes, as well as rare and threatened species such as the square-tailed kite, squatter pigeon and Julia Creek dunnart.

This unbelievable raw country at Bladensburg National Park - Scrammie Gorge is not to be missed. Historically, the homestead is one of the best depictions of life as it was in the pioneer days. Travel to the end of the Park through Mitchell Grass downs and claypans until the jump-up country where gidyea trees are twisted and gnarled due to the harshness of this land.

John Egan Pioneer Track

The John Egan Pioneer Track highlights the ecological and cultural values of the Stonehenge town reserve. The track passes through downs country, scenic hill view country, spectacular erosions and rocky outcrops, natural springs and waterfalls (in wet seasons).

Kooroorinya Falls Nature Reserve

Kooroorinya Falls is a natural waterhole surrounded by high rock walls on one side and sandy, shaded banks on the other. Visitors can go swimming, fishing, birdwatching or just take a walk. There is a creek with plenty of water and spectacular falls during the wetter months.
