Janbal Gallery is more than just an Aboriginal art gallery - it is a true Aboriginal Experience - 100 per cent Australian owned and operated by the artist.

Come and learn about Aboriginal Art and share Aboriginal culture through hands-on painting and storytelling experiences.

Brian (Binna) Swindley, Janbal Gallery's owner/artist invites you to come and browse, enjoy and share in an authentic Aboriginal art experience.

Binna, the artist in residence, a local Kuku Yalanji man from Mossman. He is passionate about sharing his culture, dreamtime stories and visual interpretations of these with those who are interested.

Come and visit his Gallery and learn about the dreamtime, animals and stories of country of the Aboriginal people of the Mossman region.

Aboriginal Art Classes: take home with you a true Aboriginal Art Experience that you too can share. While learning about the Kuku Yalanji history and culture, local Aboriginal Artist - Binna will show you the intricate detail and designs used in the art of the Kuku Yalanji people.

Entry to the gallery is free however there is a charge for workshops. Bookings are preferable and can be made on their website.

Local secret Wangetti Beach is just north of Palm Cove in Tropical North Queensland. Running from Slip Cliff Point to Red Cliff Point, the 4km of almost straight coastline has no facilities, with only a carpark on either end of the beach and a stretch of highway connecting them.

Mossman Gorge is a very accessible and scenic section of Daintree National Park, in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Crystal-clear water cascades over large granite boulders in the Mossman River gorge.

Mount Molloy

Mount Molloy was named to honour teamster Patrick Molloy who, in the mid 1880s, found the copper outcrop whilst searching for stray bullocks. Four years he worked it as a one man show, then amid murmurs of "claim jumping", it changed hands.

Port Douglas

Port Douglas is the gateway to the World Heritage wonders of Tropical North Queensland. It is the closest mainland port to the Great Barrier Reef and only a short drive into the heart of the Wet Tropics rainforest at Daintree and Cape Tribulation.
