Augathella Meat Ant Park and Sculpture

Augathella, Murweh Area

Located within the Meat Ant Park, the Meat Ant Sculpture is over million times the size of an actual Ant, the perfect opportunity for that holiday photo.

Why name a park after a Meat Ant you ask? Augathella's local football team, known as the Mighty Augathella Meat Ants were fearless in their attack against their opponANTS. This earned the town a nickname, 'Meat Ant Country'.

Other features of the park include, seating for a picnic lunch, playground equipment for the kids, lovely landscaped gardens and story boards telling the history of Augathella.

Plan to stay on a little longer, the park and Meat Ant Sculpture is right beside the Augathella Library and Visitor Information Centre, why not drop in and say G'day and find out all there is to see and do. There is more than you could have imagined.
