The Tamarind is the fully licensed, in-house restaurant at Spicers Tamarind Retreat, located just three kilometres from Maleny in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The Tamarind specialises in innovative Modern Asian cuisine, with each dish offering a harmonious balance of sweet, sour and spicy flavours. The Tamarind's ever-changing menu and perfectly matched wines make it a true gourmet destination.

Spicers Tamarind Retreat is set within lush rainforest and bushland with abundant wildlife and a cool, peaceful ambience. The Tamarind is positioned to capture views of the tranquil surrounds, with the option of either indoor or outdoor seating available. The Tamarind is also an ideal setting for a truly memorable wedding or special occasion.

Learn the intricacies of Thai cooking in the purpose-built cooking school at Spicers Tamarind Retreat. Rory Thorpe hosts intimate classes of up to 12 people with five hours of cooking, lunch, wine, signature apron and full recipes included.

The Tamarind is open to retreat guests and the public.
