Lucas Estate

Severnlea, Southern Downs Area

Lucas Estate is one of the most awarded wineries in Queensland. The winery is part of the Strangebird trail as Tempranillo, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc are made. All wine is made on site with Estate or local grapes. A wide range of varieties is offered including sparkling wines.

The cellar door has a cafe, gifts and books plus artwork displays. Enjoy tastings of local produce including Mt. Stirling olives and oils. These products are also used in the kitchen where they cater for both meat eaters and vegetarians and cook gluten and dairy free whenever possible.

They have live music on some weekends with the larger, ticketed event, Granite Belt Blue, on New Years Day every year.

The property is designated Land for Wildlife and you are likely to see Whiptail Wallabies or, if you are very lucky, koalas .
