Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

Fig Tree Pocket, Brisbane Area

Recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is the world's first and largest koala sanctuary, with over 85 years of experience and 130 koalas. In 2015 Lone Pine was inducted into the Trip Advisor Hall of Fame for five consecutive years of excellence.

Interact with 100 species of Australian animals, with hands-on experiences and presentations. Hand-feed kangaroos and wild lorikeets, or get cuddly with a beautiful koala. Lone Pine is also home to two platypus, residing in a AUD1 million exhibit, who will entertain you with their playful antics.

Relax and take in the beautiful surroundings, while you use the free wi-fi which is available all throughout the park. Wireless phone charging stations are also available for customer use at no charge. Three new bloggers areas are now open, providing guests with comfortable seating, USB power stations and free, high speed wi-fi.

Unwind with an organic coffee in the "Koala Forest" surrounded by 40 koalas, or catch the action in the Bird of Prey Free Flight Show! You can also enjoy a real Australian outback farm experience at the daily Sheepdog and Sheep Shearing Show, performed by experienced award-winning sheepdog handlers and their loyal dogs.
