Adding to its already impressive events calendar at Tangalooma, this event is the first of its kind and one Queensland has never seen before. Attracting some of Australia’s hottest comic talent, whilst providing a unique island backdrop, will make the event one of a kind and not to be missed. Whilst there are comedy festivals popping up across the world, this one is truly unique, and some of the comedians include great Australian acts such as the hilariously raw Greg Fleet, the sharp-witted Chris Wainhouse and many more. This is event is open to those 18 and over.

Explore the underwater world of Moreton Bay. Sail and snorkel through the crystal clear waters of Moreton Bay to help scientists uncover how coastal development is impacting the iconic marine ecosystem. Moreton Bay is home to dugongs, loggerhead turtles, dolphins and many other species. Pollutants enter the bay from rural and urban sources via the Brisbane River, through dredging and increased shipping traffic. These activities decrease water quality, which in turn threatens the seagrass and macro invertebrates, resulting in a decreased food supply for dugongs, turtles and fish. On Sailing for Seagrass, you will join scientists from Healthy Waterways to collect ecological data on the extent and composition of sediment, seagrass and macro invertebrates in the bay to determine how humans and climate change are impacting these ecosystems. There's only one team a year, so get in quick!
